Record your find with the Botanical Society of the British Isles

Record a plant

Have you found an interesting plant? Perhaps you have surveyed the plants of an area. You may like to submit these records to the Botanical Society of the British Isles.

The BSBI has a network of recorders who maintain an archive of plant locations in the UK and Ireland. These records have many uses. For example in 1962 and 2003, the BSBI published atlases of the British Flora. This information is important for identifing areas for conservation and for scientific investigations.

If you submit a record here it will be e-mailed to the BSBI coordinator who will pass it on to the relevant recorder. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee you a response. That is up to the individual recorder, all of which are volunteers. Nevertheless, we appreciate your submissions and you can be sure they will all be recorded faithfully.
